The Uncle Sunny app: what it does, and what it does not
Four tabs, no account, no data collection. What the Uncle Sunny mobile app is for, and what it does not do.
Uncle Sunny is the mobile app of Data Analytic Investments. Its Google Play description calls it the company's "mobile companion". This article covers what is in the app, how it connects to the website, and what it does not do. That last part matters at least as much as the first.

The four tabs
The app has four parts. Each one leads to an area of the website.
Library. This shows the company's products: the RIPPLE book, the Crypto Academy, Uncle Sunny Akadémia, The Analyst Room and the gift box. Purchases do not happen in the app. They happen on the website.
Analysis. This is where you order a single-company analysis, a PDF about a company of your choice, sent by email. The store description states here too that the reports contain no target prices, no buy or sell suggestions, no portfolio advice and no promised returns.
Market. This holds articles and a link to Market Observation. Every user sees the same content. The data comes from third parties, with its sources named.
Info. This holds the company details, the regulatory disclosure and the privacy policy. It also states that Data Analytic Investments Kft. is not a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA Article 3.
How does it connect to the website?
The Android app opens the website's /app page, packaged as an app. This has two consequences.
First, the content is always the same as on the website. A new article or product does not need a new app version.
Second, purchases and accounts stay on the website. The app asks for no card and stores no personal data.
What does it not do?
This part matters at least as much as the last one:
- It is not a trading platform. You cannot buy, sell or place orders in it, and it holds no client assets.
- It gives no personalised advice. Everyone sees the same thing. The content is not shaped by the user's data.
- It collects no data. According to the Google Play data safety section, the app collects no data and shares nothing with third parties.
- It needs no sign-up. You can use it without an account.
5 things many people don't know
- There is no account. The app works without registration, so there is nothing to forget and nothing to delete.
- The Library is a shop window, not a shop. You see the product descriptions in the app, and you buy on the website.
- The Market tab is the same for everyone. There is no separate "premium" view in the app.
- The Android version is built on the website. Website updates appear in it without an app update.
- The Info tab also explains the regulatory position. Anyone who wants to know what kind of service this is will find it in one place.
Who is it for?
It is for anyone who wants to see the company's books, courses and market articles in one place on their phone, without signing up. It also suits anyone who wants to order a single-company analysis without opening a browser.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay for the app? No, the download is free. Product prices are the same as on the website, and purchases happen there.
What is the difference between the app and the website? The content is the same. The app gathers the parts most often used on a phone in one place: the library, analysis orders, market articles and company information.
Where can you get it?
The Android version is available on Google Play: Uncle Sunny on Google Play. We will announce the iPhone version separately.
