RIPPLE — An Unofficial Documentary Study of Ripple and the XRP Ledger is complete and available now as a download in Hungarian, English and Spanish.
Twenty-two chapters. 1988 to 2026. A chronological table, a source list, a methodology note — and a closing chapter about what the book cannot tell you.
It is not a Ripple publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ripple Labs Inc.
What is in it
The book follows one question: what is documented, and what is only claimed.
| Chapter | Chapter | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| I | The Pirate | XII | The Day of the Complaint |
| II | The Banker | XIII | The Hinman Files |
| III | The Cryptographer and the Invisible One | XIV | The Exile |
| IV | "Bitcoin Without Mining" | XV | The Anatomy of the Torres Ruling |
| V | NewCoin, OpenCoin, Ripple | XVI | The Closure |
| VI | The 80 and the 20 | XVII | The Acquisition Campaign |
| VII | The Break | XVIII | RLUSD and the Stablecoin War |
| VIII | The First Penalty | XIX | The Bank Gate and the ETF Era |
| IX | The Banking Years | XX | The People — Portraits and the Critique |
| X | The Flagship | XXI | Where the Company Stands |
| XI | Escrow and the Handover | XXII | What This Book Does Not Tell You |
Chapter XXII is not an afterword. It is the longest limitation chapter we could write honestly: where the record runs out, which questions the documents do not answer, and what a reader should not conclude from what is here.
Every figure in the book carries its source and its retrieval date. The data providers behind our platform are published openly on the Data Sources page — Kraken, CoinGecko, SEC EDGAR, FRED, Alternative.me and others. Nothing is displayed whose source cannot be named.
Something new: every copy is numbered, and verifiable
From today, every downloaded copy carries a security page as its first page.
On it:
- a unique copy identifier —
RIPPLE-EN-2026-000001 - a guilloche rosette generated from that identifier, so no two copies carry the same pattern
- microtext in the border, readable only under magnification
- a SHA-256 fingerprint of the copy
- and a QR code that leads to a public verification page
You can try it right now. This is a real, live check on a real copy:
→ dataanalyticsystem.com/verify/RIPPLE-EN-2026-000001
The page answers one question and nothing more: is this copy registered? It never shows who holds it. That is deliberate — the point is authenticity, not surveillance.
We are saying plainly what this does and does not do. It does not make the file uncopyable. No PDF can be made uncopyable, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What it does is make every copy traceable — which is what publishers actually rely on.
The edition is closed at 999,999
The first edition is limited to 999,999 copies across all three languages — one shared sequence, the language visible in the code. When the sequence is exhausted, no further copies are issued.
Copies 000001 to 000010 are reserved by the publisher and are never sold. Public sale begins at 000011.
The hardcover
A thread-sewn hardcover edition is in preparation: B5, 176 × 250 mm, 128 pages, full colour. Print quotes are out. When it is bound, it will be announced here — not before.
