Fifty assets, twelve categories: how the Kripto Akadémia is built

The product video for the Kripto Akadémia opens with a pile of fifty blank cards on a white table. Sol spreads them out. By the end, the cards sit on twelve shelves. That is the whole idea of the product in fifteen seconds. This article is the longer version.

The Akadémia is a structured, static educational guide covering the Top 50 crypto-assets. Each asset gets a profile, and every profile is sourced. No noise, no real-time alerts – just clear context for every asset.

The fifty are organised into twelve categories that reflect how institutional analysts actually segment the market – not by market-cap rank, but by function and risk profile. Each category is anchored by representative assets from the current Top 50:

1. Store of Value – the original thesis. Representative asset: Bitcoin.
2. Smart-Contract Platforms – programmable blockchains powering decentralised applications. Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Avalanche, NEAR Protocol, Polkadot.

7. Community and Cultural Assets – assets driven by community sentiment and narrative. Dogecoin, Shiba Inu.
8. Privacy-Focused Assets – transaction privacy. Zcash, Monero.
9. Oracle and Data Infrastructure – networks bridging blockchains and real-world data. Chainlink.
10. DAO and Governance Infrastructure – decentralised organisation governance. DeXe.
11. Tokenized Precious Metals – gold-backed tokens with blockchain-native settlement. Tether Gold, PAX Gold.
12. AI and Compute Infrastructure – networks decentralising AI compute and model access. Bittensor, Worldcoin.

A ranking by market capitalisation tells you how large an asset is today. It does not tell you what the asset is for, or what it shares with its neighbours. Two assets with similar market caps can belong to entirely different categories – a stablecoin and a smart-contract platform, say – and comparing them by rank alone compares nothing. The twelve shelves exist so that an asset is read next to the assets it actually resembles.

In the video, Sol places the cards on the shelves one by one while Faber slides the shelves into place; Vera lifts one card, its light bar flickers, and she sets it aside – the card that did not belong where it was first put.
