What you will learn
On this page you can read the basics for free: the five prompt elements, the most common mistakes and three exercises. The full guide goes further: it shows how to coordinate several AI assistants so that mistakes are caught before anything is published. 27 pages in English and 28 in Hungarian, with 11 diagrams, drawn from the log of a project that is still running.

The five prompt elements
Effective communication with an AI is not a talent; it is a structure you can learn. This section comes from chapter two of the guide and is free to read in full.
Goal
What you want to achieve, stated precisely and measurably. Not "write something", but "write a three-sentence summary for audience X in format Y".
Weak: "Explain prompt engineering."
Better: "Write a five-sentence, non-technical explanation of prompt engineering for a secondary-school student, without bullet points."
Context
What background the AI has: what it knows and what it does not. Context is always explicit, never assumed.
Weak: "Continue the previous work."
Better: "In the previous session we worked on topic X and the result was Y. Now we continue in direction Z."
Constraints
What the AI must NOT do: exclusions, forbidden content, limits of scope. A constraint is not distrust; it is precision.
Weak: "(no constraint given)"
Better: "Do not give financial advice. Avoid jargon. Stay under 200 words."
Format
The form you want the answer in: list, table, prose, code, JSON. The format decides how usable the answer is.
Weak: "Give me a summary."
Better: "Give me a three-column table: Topic | Key point | Next step."
Triple-check line
Ask the AI to check its own answer from three angles: (1) does it meet the goal, (2) does it respect the constraints, (3) does it contain an assumption you have not confirmed.
Closing line: "Before you answer, check: (1) do you meet the goal, (2) do you respect the constraints, (3) is there an assumption in your answer?"
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Consequence | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Vague goal | The AI generalises and the answer is not usable | Make it measurable: who, what, in what form, how long |
| Implicit context | The AI assumes, and the assumption is usually wrong | State every relevant piece of background explicitly |
| No constraints | The AI oversteps its scope and unwanted content gets in | Always say what the AI must NOT do |
| No triple-check | Mistakes slip unnoticed into the final output | Ask for a self-check on every critical output |
Practice exercises
- Write a five-element prompt on a topic of your choice. Check: are all five elements there?
- Take an earlier prompt that did not get a good answer. Identify which element was missing.
- Write a prompt whose last line is the triple-check request. Compare the answer with a version without it.
THE FULL GUIDE
A verified AI workflow
The full guide shows, across fourteen chapters, how to coordinate several AI assistants over months so that mistakes are caught before publication: enforcing evidence, the two kinds of task, the stopping condition, and what the word "done" really means. Five case studies from a single working day, including a mistake whose fix almost broke a working system. Every rule was born from a concrete mistake.
- ✓Every step has a measurable success criterion
- ✓No "good faith", only evidence
- ✓Every AI output goes through a three-way check
- ✓Context is always explicit, never assumed
- ✓A mistake is not hidden; it is documented at once
